“Sing a new song of praise to Him… and sing with joy! For the Word of
the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything He does.” (Psalms 33:3-4)
You have entered the website of Joy2u Ministries, founded by singer, songwriter Joy Snider. Here you will find a musical journey designed to take you from wherever this moment finds you, into the very Presence of God. There is a message for you on every page and a place to hear the song or download it to your MP3 player. The last page has valuable information, recommended reading, and important links.
By way of background, Joy grew up in a minister’s home and at six years old began singing at church in the family quartet. At this same time, she also began writing poetry and listening to music by Ralph Carmichael on the family’s stereo. His vocal and instrumental arrangements were her inspiration. Joy’s mother, a pianist and organist, taught her many early lessons about theory and harmony. This further developed her love for music.
At age 16, Joy learned to play guitar and write music. Soon she began working as an independent musician, singing for special events that took her across the United States and overseas. Her music has been used in films, one of which was a documentary on America by Jack Hayford. She graduated from college with a degree in Bible and Sacred Music and attended Grace Graduate School of Theology.
Joy’s husband, Craig, grew up in the ministry, too, and followed his calling to become a doctor. They and their four children have been involved in medical missions now for over twenty years, working with several organizations such as Healthcare Ministries, Lighthouse for Christ Eye Hospital in Kenya, and Convoy of Hope. They also provide free medical eye services to the homeless in their community.
Joy’s musical outreach is dedicated to revealing the amazing love of Jesus and encouraging battle-worn believers, one song at a time. She also offers counseling and prayer for those facing catastrophic illnesses, with books and Scriptures to anchor the soul with in such stormy times. Anyone needing prayer support and help in this area is invited to contact her at her email address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
